This error appears when Photoshop's default layer mask settings have been changed. Some RA Panel scripts rely on those defaults to run correctly. There are two places where this can be fixed — either one will resolve the issue.
Option 1: Layers Panel Options
- Click the menu icon in the top-right corner of the Layers panel and select Panel Options.
- In the Panel Options dialog, make sure Use Default Masks on Fill Layers is checked.
Option 2: Adjustments Panel Options
- Select the background layer in your PSD.
- Click the menu icon in the Adjustments panel and make sure Add Mask by Default is checked.
