The most common post-upgrade issues come from macOS permissions, Creative Cloud or Photoshop not being fully updated, or a license token that needs a quick refresh. Work through the checklist below.
Quick Start Checklist
- Update first. Open the Creative Cloud Desktop app, update Photoshop and Creative Cloud to the latest versions, then restart your Mac. See Adobe Help Center for system requirements.
- Open Photoshop and check your RA Panel. Go to Plugins → [Your RA Panel], confirm the panel loads, and test a few buttons — including a Brush button.
- Fix permissions if anything is blocked. If buttons do nothing or files cannot be read or written, re-grant Photoshop access to the folders where your Presets, Brushes, and Actions are stored. See Apple Support — Privacy & Security settings for instructions.
- Refresh your license if needed. If the panel prompts you to activate again or reports you have reached the activation limit, reset your activations in your Member Account and re-activate in Photoshop. See: Reset Your Panel License Activations.
